It’s Time for Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Ministry
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations worldwide through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Here are some ways you can make a difference in the lives of those children:
Pray that God will touch the heart of every child who receives a shoe box gift. Pack a shoe box filled with small toys and other gifts that can open hurting hearts to God’s love. Instructional brochures will be available.
Give to cover shipping and other project costs.
If you would like to fill a shoe box, please have it back to the church by November 24.
Remember that toothpaste and candy are not accepted this year. Also, the suggested postage is $9.00.
If you would like to donate money for the Youth to go shopping to fill boxes, please give that money to Faith or Winky Nichols or Judy Britt by November 24.
National OCC Collection Week is November 18-25.
The hours of collection are:
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 5:00-7:00 pm
Tuesday & Thursday 6:00—8:00 pm
Saturday 9:00-11:00 am
Sunday 1:00-5:00 pm
Monday, November 25, 9:00–11:00 am
If you would like to volunteer to help during collection week, there is a sign-up sheet posted in the hall by the pastor’s study.
